Consulting Packaging Materials

Packaging Materials

New materials reach the market constantly, and the right choice depends on your product, supply chain, and goals. TEN-E helps you select and specify materials on the merits, because we are independent and do not sell them.

Independent Material Selection

We are an independent partner and we do not sell packaging materials. That independence matters, because a material recommendation should be driven by performance, cost, and sustainability rather than by what a supplier needs to move. Our engineers evaluate materials across many products and shipping environments, so the specification you get is the one that fits your requirements and your total cost of ownership.

Materials We Work With

We design and specify across the full range of packaging materials, from primary through unit load.

Paper and fiber: Paper, corrugated, honeycomb (Hexacomb), paperboard, molded fiber (pulp), and sonoposts, L board, and U board.

Rigid plastics : Rigid plastics, clamshells, trays, critical components and plastic corrugated.

Flexibles: Films, bags and pouches, shrink wrap, inflatables and air pillows.

Foam and protective: Molded foams, dunnage, cornerboards, and edge protection.

Unit load: Pallets, crates, stretch film, banding, slip sheets, and returnable racks.

Wood and metal: Crates, skids, racks and hardware, including returnable and reusable systems.

How We Choose the Right Material

Material selection is never made in isolation. We weigh protection, cost, line and equipment fit, sustainability, and total cost of ownership together, then validate the choice in our accredited labs so the material is proven before it reaches production.

Not sure which material is right?

Tell us about your product and supply chain and we will recommend a material combination that performs and controls cost.
