Random Vibration Testing

In the real world of material handling, it often is not the major, catastrophic events that cause the most damage to packaging and materials; rather, it is the day-to-day, outwardly harmless outside influences that can spell disaster.

TEN-E Packaging Services seeks to address some of the most common packaging failure issues with our random vibration testing. This valuable service takes into account all the over-the-road conditions cargo may encounter during transit.

A number of factors can influence the duration and frequency of vibrations during transport: truck size and type; travel speed and distance; load type, size and weight; road roughness and conditions; and, of course, packaging type.

The state-of-the-art environmental testing lab at TEN-E Packaging Services’ three facilities is each equipped with a number of vibration simulators, designed to accurately replicate real road conditions. This faithful simulation helps companies all over the globe innovate and perfect safer packaging and better meet federal and international regulations and good practice standards.

In addition to meticulously calibrated random vibration testing, TEN-E Packaging Services is proud to offer a variety of other up-to-the-minute packaging test equipment to our customers.

Our fully equipped environmental testing lab includes a number of temperature/humidity environmental chambers and weathering testers, which enable us to exactly simulate the likely weather environments of cargo routes.

These environment simulation and vibration tests give our customers an accurate picture of how bulk and non-bulk packaging will react in similar, real-world situations. Will corrugated packaging withstand constant transportation abuse? Can lids and fasteners withstand the conditions without failure or excessive corrosion? Are packaging, seams and liners adequate to withstand typical road and rail vibrations?

These are all questions material handlers must know as early in the shipping/storage process as possible, and TEN-E Packaging Services helps you get those answers before you hit the road.
