IATA Dangerous Goods Affiliation

TEN-E Packaging Services, Inc. experts have spent the past two decades cooperating and building relationships with a number of regulatory bodies, industry organizations, and packaging schools and associations. This across-the-industry involvement allows us to offer the most up-to-date services according to the most current standards.

TEN-E is proud to count among its regulatory sources the IATA. Dangerous Goods guidelines set forth by the IATA (International Air Transport Association) establish standards by which dangerous goods are handled during air transport, thus ensuring efficient and safe movement of essential materials and products worldwide.

In addition to compliance to these and other regulatory standards, TEN-E Packaging Services also meets or exceeds standards set forth by industry organizations such as the International Safe Transit Association.

Meet ISTA Packaging Testing Standards

The International Safe Transit Association (ISTA) is a worldwide organization dedicated to developing transport package test procedures in order to ensure optimal package performance. TEN-E’s own test equipment and procedures are designed to satisfy strict ISTA packaging testing standards.

You may have read about our drop/shock/impact test equipment in another article; our testing also includes a lineup of compression and tension test machines, which simulate the pressures exerted on packaging during stacking and storage. Our largest compression machine with a 60” x 60” platen is equipped to test load capacities of up to 30,000 lbs.
