The History of TEN-E Packaging Services...
1989 In June 1989, TEN-E Packaging Services, Inc. opened its doors to serve the needs of the chemical packaging industry. At that time safety regulations changed to emphasize performance orientated packaging. TEN-E petitioned the United States Department of Transportation and became the first third party government recognized laboratory (+AA) to conduct United Nations performance testing.
1993
Originally located in Eagan, Minnesota, TEN-E relocated to a 7,300 square foot facility in Newport, Minnesota and added an additional 5,700 square feet. This new 13,000 square foot laboratory provided TEN-E enough space to conduct UN testing on
Single & Combination Packages and featured an area specifically designed to conduct 30 foot drops on infectious substance and radioactive materials packaging. A new logo design was also introduced.
1995 TEN-E added an additional 3,000 square feet which included a new warehouse and a large drop pad area for conducting Intermediate Bulk Container (IBC) Testing.
1999 TEN-E aquired a 5,000 square foot laboratory in Ontario, California featuring UN Combination & Single Package testing capabilities. Matthew Anderson manages the laboratory along with Lab Technician
Raheem Kyle and they can be contacted at 909-937-1260 or via email: Email Matt Anderson or Email Raheem Kyle.
TEN-E also celebrated 10 years with a new logo and website.
2000

This 5,000 square foot facility is capable of performing UN testing on Combination & Single Packaging as well as Rigid and Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers. 2001 Over 10,000 square feet were added to the Newport facility bringing the total size to just over 26,000 square feet. The new expansion featured an 1,100 square foot training facility with a 50 person seating capacity. It also added space for environmental chambers, a test area dedicated to FIBC testing, mezzanine, and receiving/storage area. See Construction Photos.
